The role
As our Chief of Staff, you will join Markai’s founding team and be responsible for a wide range of critical activities including strategic planning, business operations and special projects. You will work directly with our Co-Founders, bringing a strategic mindset and can-do attitude to the table. Our team is growing rapidly across the US and Asia, and with your help we plan to build the next cross-border e-commerce giant.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with the Co-Founders to set, communicate and execute the strategic direction and operational priorities of Markai
- Manage a broad range of special projects to improve organizational effectiveness in alignment with strategic priorities
- Conduct ad-hoc research projects on industry trends, competitions, customers and investors to guide company strategy
- Help Markai build its brand awareness and serve as a point person for external service providers.
- Draft communications and own content development for internal and external speaking engagements, including partner meetings, org-wide all hands meetings, executive and board meetings.
What you will bring...
- An uncommon strategic and analytical mind, as demonstrated by 2-4 years of rapid progression at top employers in fields such as consulting, investment banking or technology
- A global mindset and a passion for bringing the world closer together, in addition to a strong interest in e-commerce and consumer brands
- An entrepreneurial mindset and strong bias to action
- An ownership mentality - someone who is comfortable operating in unstructured environment and has never uttered the words “it’s not my job”
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and organizational skills
- A Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university
